From her earliest days, Saint Mary of the Angels Anglican Church has enjoyed the full Anglo-Catholic heritage of worship and belief. Employing the Book of Common Prayer for the daily and occasional offices and the Anglican Missal for the celebration of the Mass, Father. Neal Dodd, our first rector, set the tone for our worship which remains today.

Through all its pastoral changes, worship has been central to St. Mary's life. The recitation of the daily Offices of Morning and Evening Prayer and the regular offering of the Mass provide the main focus for our parish life. Our worship is in the Anglo-Catholic tradition, with the rich ceremonial of the medieval Church, the noble language of the Elizabethan Book of Common Prayer, and the musical heritage of the ancient Gregorian chant.

What's the difference between High Mass and Low Mass? The Mass, in its essentials, is the same in both. The distinction is found in the ceremonial employed in the service.
